Nicole Grosse, LMHC-D, CASAC II

(she/her/hers)

Trauma Therapist

Nicole Grosse is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC-D) and Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC II) who specializes in individual and group therapy for women. She has a passion for working with women navigating trauma, relationship challenges, substance use and recovery, and rebuilding a sense of self. Nicole brings a warm, honest, and collaborative approach to therapy, meeting clients where they are while helping them identify meaningful steps toward change.

Nicole received her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Medaille College in 2018 and has spent more than a decade working in the behavioral health field. Her experience includes working extensively with women experiencing trauma, substance use, mental health concerns, relationship difficulties, and complex life circumstances. As a CASAC II, Nicole brings a unique understanding of the ways substance use and recovery can intersect with trauma, relationships, and mental health.

Nicole especially enjoys working with women who are navigating the impact of trauma on their relationships and sense of self. She works with clients experiencing unhealthy relationship patterns, difficulty setting boundaries, codependency, low self-worth, identity struggles, past relationship trauma, substance use and recovery, and life transitions. She is passionate about helping women understand patterns that may have once helped them cope but are no longer serving the life or relationships they want to build.

Nicole uses a trauma-informed, strengths-based, and collaborative approach, drawing from Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, psychoeducation, and other approaches based on each client's needs. She believes therapy should feel like a partnership between two people. She is compassionate and nonjudgmental while also being direct and honest, creating space for clients to be themselves, make sense of their experiences, and work toward meaningful change without needing to have everything figured out first.

Nicole also draws from her own experiences with recovery and personal growth to bring authenticity and understanding to her work. She believes your past can shape you without defining you, and that you deserve the opportunity to build a life and relationships that feel like your own.

Outside of therapy, Nicole enjoys spending time with her family, camping and hiking, exploring the outdoors, and spending time with her dog, Willow. She believes that making space for the people, places, and experiences that bring you joy is an important part of building a meaningful life.
