About this Group
About.
Did you grow up in repressive, authoritarian religious environment? Are you feeling alone in the aftermath of religious/spiritual abuse or trauma? Are you a survivor of a "high control" group, learning to navigate through new terrain? This group is for you! This support group is for people who want to heal from past religious or spiritual trauma, abuse and/or adverse experiences. Participants are invited to share their story, and will have the opportunity to connect with others who have had similar experiences in an environment of safety and support. Participants will explore how these past experiences have impacted the way they move through the world, their relationships (with themselves and others), and their beliefs and values. Participants must be connected with an individual therapist to join. Open to all religious/spiritual backgrounds and denominations!
